The Asian Studies Program is seeking a reliable and motivated student to assist the
Administrative Assistant and provide general program support. Responsibilities include running
errands, delivering and posting flyers, assisting with Asian Studies events, updating the
program’s Instagram account, and completing computer-based projects using Microsoft Office,
Adobe, Google Sheets/Docs, and the Holy Cross email system. The student assistant should
remain available to take on new assignments from faculty and the Administrative Assistant while
on duty. Because the Asian Studies Program office occasionally faces competing deadlines, the
position requires someone who can work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates a strong
work ethic, shows reliability, and takes initiative in completing projects. This position offers an
excellent opportunity to gain valuable work experience and contribute to a program where your
efforts are valued and appreciated. Hiring will take place at the start of the Fall 2025 term, with
work beginning immediately in September 2025.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform clerical duties, including photocopying and scanning
-  Collaborate with departmental faculty members on various assignments
-  Demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple demands and
priorities
-  Run departmental-related errands across campus
-  Show excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – and an outgoing attitude
- Maintain and periodically update the Asian Studies official Instagram Account in
consultation with faculty and the Asian Studies administrative assistant
-  Assist in preparing information and program materials; create and maintain PowerPoint
presentations
-  Maintain a high level of confidentiality
